Erion MUD

Erion is a free medieval fantasy MUD that has been running since 2005, with a welcoming community and a steady stream of new content. It stands out from other MUDs through the sheer flexibility it gives players — you can multiclass across 11 primary classes and 30 subclasses, change your race or evolve into a stronger version of it, and swap classes without ever deleting your character. Over 600 skills and spells give combat and roleplay serious depth.

Six player Houses let you align with a playstyle rather than a faction — Crafter, Questor, Slayer, Healer, Explorer, Alchemist, or Cook — and 35+ weekly and seasonal automated events keep things fresh. For those who prefer a quieter experience, a pacifist mode, cooking, farming, and fishing offer a break from combat entirely.
